Beeswax candles made with natural dyes
Casa Viviana
We are a family owned workshop that has dedicated itself to the elaboration of handmade beeswax candles for over 5 generations.
We distinguish ourselves by exploring different approaches and processes, always inspired by the palpitations of our lands, flowers and hills.
Our Story
Doña Viviana belongs to the third generation of her candle making family, she presides over our workshop. From a very young age, she has dedicated herself to this beautiful trade and has passed it on to her family, which now makes up the Casa Viviana workshop.
At Casa Viviana we make traditional shell candles, a symbol of prosperity and abundance for new couples, but we also distinguish ourselves through our creativity, in the unique shapes we form our candles (such as flowers, fruits and figures of nature) as well as by supporting women in the area so that they may have a fair income and a better quality of life.
Doña Viviana and Casa Viviana profiled in VOGUE
“Doña Viviana created her first vela at the age of eight, using the molds her grandmother had inherited from her mother before her. Orphaned at a young age, Doña Viviana spent her entire childhood at her grandmother’s side. Melting and coloring the beeswax, pouring it into the wooden molds, cooling the molds with water, perfecting her craft. Quality was always a driving force for Doña Viviana. In the years to come, she would find herself forging her own, sometimes controversial, path as both an artist and an entrepreneur."
